The short version

You can create and download a floorplan without registering. Projects are saved in your browser; room geometry is sent to our calculation service when you request validation or layout checks. We count only two types of planner action: a first validated floorplan and an export or download. We do not count visitors or page views. You can turn action counts off below without losing features.

1. Who is responsible?

JKM property investments operates FreeFloorplan3D and is the controller of personal information processed for the purposes described here.

71-75, Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ
info@freefloorplan3d.com

Contact us about privacy questions or to exercise your rights. This policy covers the public website, the planner at /planner/ and our contact form.

2. Your floorplans and local storage

The planner stores project geometry, room settings and placed objects in your browser’s IndexedDB storage. Display preferences and your action-count opt-out may use local storage. Restoring a project and saving edits do not require an account. We do not provide account-based cloud project storage or automatic synchronisation between devices.

When you request a validation or layout calculation, the relevant room dimensions, openings and object geometry are sent through Cloudflare to our backend hosted on Railway. These requests support the calculations you use in the planner. The public backend does not retain projects in a project database. Hosting providers may process technical request records separately.

Project archives and images you export are created on your device. Opening a saved .floorplan3d project reads it locally. Using your device’s share menu sends the selected file to the app or recipient you choose, under that service’s own terms. Clearing browser site data, private browsing or device storage limits can remove local work. Keep downloaded project backups.

3. Aggregate action counts

We use PostHog’s US service to count floorplan_generated once when a project first has a validated floorplan and is saved locally, and floorplan_downloaded after each export or download. A download event includes only a fixed format label, such as PDF, PNG, JPG or editable project. These counts are approximate: an export can be initiated without proving the file was saved to disk. We do not collect a visitor count, page views, clicks, room edits, project content or a browsing history for analytics.

The planner sends only the event name and, for a download, its format to a same-origin Cloudflare endpoint. Our backend checks that small request and sends PostHog the event with one constant aggregate identifier for all actions, no person profile and location enrichment disabled. It does not forward your IP address, cookies, browser headers, referrer, URL, project IDs, filenames, drawings, geometry, dimensions, names or email address. We do not install the PostHog browser SDK, analytics cookies, autocapture or session recording. Cloudflare and Railway still receive technical network information for service delivery and security, and PostHog receives the backend’s network request and its event time. We do not describe the whole service as anonymous.

Our purpose is to understand whether the free planner is producing useful plans and downloads without tracking individual visitors. We rely on legitimate interests for this limited processing (Article 6(1)(f), UK GDPR and EU GDPR where applicable), subject to your right to object. For UK visitors, we also rely on the UK PECR statistical-purpose exception for storage/access technology where its conditions are met: clear information and a simple, free objection. Rules outside the UK can differ; this notice does not claim a worldwide exemption. We do not use these counts for advertising, profiling or individual decisions.

Your analytics choice

Aggregate action counts are on unless you turn them off. Either choice leaves all floorplan tools available. Your choice applies to this browser on the website and planner.

Checking this browser’s setting…

Counts are on by default. “Turn counts off” stores only ffp3d_analytics_opt_out=true in this browser and stops future action events here. The setting is not sent with events. An older “no” choice is also honoured; a previous “yes” choice is not required. Turning counts on removes the opt-out. Clearing site data removes this setting, so counts return to the default. We do not retrospectively send events from a period when counts were off. You can also change the setting inside the planner at Settings → Privacy and local saving.

4. Optional Google Ads tag

We use the Google Ads tag with ID AW-18475839956 to support advertising measurement and related Google Ads features. It is off by default: the Google script is not loaded and this tag sends no information to Google unless you select “Accept Google Ads cookies.” Rejecting or making no choice does not limit the planner. You can change your choice at any time using the controls below or the cookies link in the footer.

If you accept, Google may receive page and advertising-interaction information, including the page URL, referrer, IP address, user-agent and other browser/network details, timestamps and advertising click identifiers. Advertising storage may be used for conversion measurement and, if enabled in our Google Ads account, remarketing or personalised advertising. We do not send your floorplan drawings, room dimensions, filenames, account details or contact-form messages through this tag. We have not configured a named Google Ads conversion event or conversion label, so this base tag alone does not record a specific “floorplan generated” or “downloaded” conversion. It is not Google Analytics.

We rely on your consent for this optional advertising processing (Article 6(1)(a), UK GDPR and, where applicable, EU GDPR) and obtain prior permission for non-essential storage/access technologies where required by PECR or applicable local ePrivacy rules. If you withdraw consent after the Google tag has loaded on the current page, we send it a denied consent update, stop advertising storage, and try to remove the tag’s first-party advertising cookies. A limited consent or cookieless signal may still be sent on that already-open page; the tag is not loaded on later pages unless you accept again. Information already sent cannot be recalled. Google’s own cookie and data retention periods apply.

5. Browsing and contacting us

Cloudflare delivers and protects the website. It processes technical information such as IP address, requested URL, request time, browser information and security signals. Our contact form loads Cloudflare Turnstile only when you select “Enable secure form”; it verifies browser signals to reduce spam. The form also uses a short rate-limit window.

If you contact us, we receive your name, email address, subject, message and any information you include in replies. The required fields help us understand and answer your enquiry. Do not submit passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information. You can email us directly instead of using the form. We do not store unfinished messages or maintain a separate enquiry database, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

6. Purposes and lawful bases

Providing the planner, answering enquiries and securing the service: our legitimate interests in operating a useful, reliable tool, responding to people who contact us and preventing abuse (Article 6(1)(f), UK GDPR and EU GDPR where applicable). Local project storage supports the service you request.

Limited action counts: our legitimate interest in measuring whether plans and downloads are produced, balanced by strict data minimisation and a free, immediate opt-out. You may object at any time above. These action counts are not used for advertising.

Optional Google Ads tag: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the cookie controls.

Legal obligations and rights requests: compliance with applicable law (Article 6(1)(c)). We do not sell personal information.

7. Providers and international processing

Authorised people working for JKM property investments can access enquiry correspondence and aggregate analytics reports. Cloudflare provides website hosting, delivery, security and email sending/forwarding. Railway hosts our calculation and event-relay backend. PostHog receives aggregate event submissions in its US region. If you accept the Google Ads tag, Google receives its advertising-tag requests and may process them internationally. Google Gmail receives messages sent to our team mailbox. Your email address is used as Reply-To when you contact us.

These providers operate internationally. Information may be processed outside the UK or EEA, including in the United States. Applicable safeguards depend on each provider’s terms and the relevant transfer, and may include recognised adequacy arrangements or standard contractual clauses with applicable UK provisions. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information. Providers may also process technical records for their own security, service or legal obligations.

Provider information: Cloudflare privacy, Turnstile privacy, Railway privacy, PostHog privacy, PostHog data-processing agreement, Google privacy and Google advertising technologies.

8. How long information is kept

Enquiries: our retention period is 30 days from receipt, including associated reply copies under our control. An ongoing conversation does not reset the date of an earlier message. Information required by law may be retained longer, restricted to that purpose.

Local projects and preferences: remain in your browser until you remove them, replace them or your browser clears them. The action-count opt-out and Google Ads choice are stored locally until changed or cleared. Clearing site data removes these choices, so the Google Ads banner returns and the tag remains off until you choose. Deleting browser data does not erase files saved elsewhere or events already received by PostHog or Google.

Usage events: retained according to our reporting needs and the active PostHog account’s retention settings. We review whether records are still needed when those purposes or our analytics configuration change. Contact us for current retention information or a deletion request. Events have no end-user identifier, so we may be unable to isolate one individual’s event. Google sets retention periods for its advertising technologies. Provider security, service and backup records may have different retention periods.

9. Your choices, rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of personal information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, including the action counts, and withdraw consent to the Google Ads tag at any time. Turning counts off or rejecting Google Ads above does not restrict the planner.

Write to the address above or email info@freefloorplan3d.com. We may need proportionate information to verify identity and find relevant records. We normally respond within one month and explain any lawful extension. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or, where EU GDPR applies, your relevant supervisory authority.

10. Security, automated checks and children

Spam checks can reject submissions; if that happens, email us instead. Planner calculations evaluate geometry and do not make decisions about people with legal or similarly significant effects. The service is intended for general space planning, not collecting children’s personal information. Contact us if a child has supplied information that should be removed.

11. AI transparency

AI helped create this website, including code, written content and labelled concept artwork. The 3D home illustration is not a photograph, a measured drawing or planner output. The floorplan illustrations are conceptual and not to scale. They do not establish whether an object fits or a design is buildable.

The public service has no visitor-facing AI chatbot. This website does not send contact messages or project files to a generative-AI service or use them to train an AI model. JKM property investments is responsible for the published service.

12. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our processing changes. New purposes requiring consent would require an appropriate choice before activation. The date above identifies this version. Read our cookies and device-storage notice for further details.
